Hudson Valley's annual Cider week kicks off this weekend! Not sure where to start? Here are a few events that you must visit.
1. Hudson Valley Cider and Cheese Tasting and Market
Bring the entire family out to the festivities (children under 10 are free!). There will be over 50 ciders and 20 cheeses made by local craftsmen to sample. This event is presented by Glynwood, agricultural nonprofit organization and Basilica Hudson, a non-profit multidisciplinary arts center.

2. Pennings Farm Cidery Grand Opening
What better way to kick off Cider Week than to christen a new tap room? Meet SJ Penni-
ngs, Pennings own cider craftsman. SJ looks forward to meeting everyone and answering various questions about the orchard. To complete the atmosphere, the band Feelin' Irie will keep everything irie with fantastic reggae music.

3.Strawberry, Chocolate and Wine Festival
Can you imagine a more beautiful pairing than strawberry, chocolate and wine? Baldwin Vineyards kicks off the festivities June 5th. Can't make it? They are celebrating again June 11th. Both days include live music, great pairings of chocolate-strawberry desserts and fabulous wine tasting.

4. Nine Pin Cider-Making Class
Want to enjoy your own creation but not quite sure where to start? Start here! Learn from the pros on how to perfect your cider. Twelve dollars buys you an entry to the class and a bottle of Nine Pin's cider.

5. 2nd Annual Cider Market & Tasting
Continue to partake in Hudson Valley Cider Week by attending yet another cider market and tasting event! Historic Huguenot Street, located in Historic New Paltz, will present more ciders from around the region. They will
also incorporate local wineries and breweries to celebrate our local businesses. While cider, wine and beer are three great reasons to attend the event, there will also be locally farmed goods for sale (even cider donuts, yum!).

6. Trail and Ale Hike
As Cider Week comes to a close, don't fret, hike! A ten dollar donation benefits the local trails and you receive a cider. Stop by Aroma Thyme Bistro to finish the week.
